IOT Node With Display

Objective: Mechanically design, machine and assemble 10 units of a new IoT display node with a 2-week timeline. 

Mechanical Design

Process:    

  • Mechanically designed the internal stack-up and external components in SolidWorks to seamlessly integrate the new LED display and supporting electronics.
  • Accelerated parts acquisition by driving to local metal suppliers to source raw materials and off-the-shelf hardware. 
  • Programmed and ran CNC machining for the plastic cover, tapped and filed aluminum chassis components, and assembled 10 units.

  • Delivered fully machined and assembled mechanical modules within the two-week schedule.
  • Directly supported the award of a $45,000 purchase order by demonstrating rapid, high-quality delivery
